Sales Assembly’s Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineering Certification Program educates participants on fundamental skills that all Pre-Sales professionals need to master in order to be effective in their role.

This certification includes a comprehensive, one-day virtual training of classroom-style learning and strategic breakout rooms. A unique benefit of this certification involves ongoing continuing education requirements through various Sales Assembly programs.

To receive their certification, individuals must participate in all 4 modules and attend the full day of training.


  • Demoing by Ed Jaffe. The demo is a Pre-sales professional’s opportunity to connect functionality with value. In this session, we’ll cover how to create a compelling and engaging success narrative while demoing your solution to prospects.
  • Setting Accurate Expectations by Josie Male. It’s easy to over-promise, especially when your customer is excited, but ensuring you know how to set the proper expectations and course-correct when necessary is essential. This module walks through how to achieve that balance.
  • Mastering Your Product by Adam Lazzara. As a Pre-Sales professional, or Sales Engineer, you are the ultimate master of your product. This module will discuss the ways to master your product, why it matters, and how to communicate your expertise.
  • Perfecting Your Process by Mike Sadler. Your process is unique and often different than your sales reps’ process. This module breaks down the differences between a sales process and a sales engineer process, and how to ensure that your discovery hits the mark.
